The aim of the award is to facilitate the integration of outstanding graduate students and early career researchers into the European community of sociology of sport scholars. The award will be granted to a scholarly paper authored by an early-career researcher, which is deemed by a panel of judges to be of highest quality. The winning author will receive a monetary prize and will be invited topresent the paper at the Annual Conference of the Eass, to be hosted in Madrid by the European University of Madrid on June 4–7, 2024.

Quest is the official journal of the National Association for Kinesiology in Higher Education (NAKHE). It is the leading journal for interdisciplinary scholarship for professionals in kinesiology in higher education. We already have 10 excellent chapters included in the proposal exploring social class using the following: Gramscian theory, Archer’s ‘morphogenic’ approach, Bourdieusian sociology, Eliasian & figurational sociology, grounded theory, Foucauldian approaches, Nel Noddings’ ‘ethics of care’, and Freirian approaches. However, we would like to complement these chapters with 2-4 additional chapters through this open ‘call for papers’.
