Fair Play. Journal of Sport: Philosophy, Ethics and Law is an electronic journal devoted to the analysis of sport from the point of view of the philosophy, ethics and the theoretical-legal perspective. There is recognition that law and sports (as games) bear strong similarities. Both can be understood as systems of rules, with a judge/referee who has the power to issue punishments/penalties. And the rules of cricket and rugby are known as ‘laws’ in English. This workshop aims to discuss jurisprudential issues in sports, falling under the broad themes of justice and fairness (equity/Billigkeit).

The editorial board of the ISLJ is inviting you to submit abstracts for its second ISLJ Annual Conference on International Sports Law. The ISLJ, published by Springer in collaboration with Asser Press, is the leading academic publication in the field of international sports law. Its readership includes academics and many practitioners active in the field. This call is open to researchers as well as practitioners.

ESLJ is a refereed and open access online journal. It is located within a dynamic and rapidly expanding area of legal theory and legal practice. Whilst focussed within legal study, the areas it encompasses are necessarily interdisciplinary. Areas that are of interest to the Journal include the ways in which the law and regulatory frameworks operate in the following industries: music, sport, film, theatre and literature, art, gaming, the night time economy and the Internet and social media.

The Journal of Legal Aspects of Sport (JLAS) is the only peer-reviewed journal for sport law research. While submissions grounded in traditional legal research are always welcomed, the Editorial Board and a team of talented reviewers for JLAS are also capable of reviewing qualitative research, quantitative research, or mixed-method approaches.

This seminar will be bringing together leading Nordic sports law professionals, academics and enthusiasts and this is a great way to share information and stay up to date on relevant issues that impact sports law as well as establish and maintain networks with international professionals.
