Sport, Ethics and Philosophy publishes high quality articles from a wide variety of philosophical traditions, and is particularly open to essays of applied philosophy that engage with issues or practice, policy and scholarship concerning the nature and values of sports.

Anne Tjønndal reviews two books about coaching, Women in Sports Coaching by Nicole LaVoi (ed.), and Research Methods in Sports Coaching by Lee Nelson, Ryan Groom & Paul Potrac (eds.), both titles from Routledge. Notwithstanding some shortcomings in both books, she considers them useful resources for studying the vast and multifarious field of sports coaching.

Thought-provoking, interesting and well argued – thus concludes Gunnar Breivik his review of Graham McFee’s latest monograph, On Sport and the Philosophy of Sport: A Wittgensteinian approach (Routledge). This appraisal works just as well for the review itself.
