Alexey Kylasov’s Ethnosport: The End of Decline describes cultural diversity, identity, and traditions in sport, with special reference to Russia and to the minor peoples' cultures of Siberia, Central and East Asia. Henning Eichberg appreciates this alternative take on the concept and phenomenon of sport, but even so he finds some features of the study objectionable.
