As Assistant Professor of sports and body culture studies your primary tasks will be research and research-based teaching. You will teach and supervise students at Bachelor’s and Master’s level, and you will contribute to the development of the department through research of high international quality. In your daily work, you will work closely with both Danish and international colleagues. Jörg Krieger is a German sport historian, working as Assistant Professor for Sport and Social Science at Aarhus University in Denmark. In his research, he explores the policies and attitudes of sport organizations and their leaders in their attempts to combat challenging issues such as doping and corruption. Jörg’s current research focus is on the socio-political history of the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF).

The Section for Sport Science at Aarhus conducts research in sports-related matters and teaching of sport science students. For a number of years, Jens Christian Nielsen has studied young people's well-being and mistrust, transition and identity processes, participation and social communities, and learning and competence development. He is currently responsible for a major research project on talent development in sports ant in the primary school education.
