ol3mediaFor the next issue of the Ol3Media e-journal we are seeking short papers about Sport in relationship with new and old media and about themes not just related to a single sport performace.

The issue wants to explore the topic, both offering an overview and studying social, marketing and cultural points of view, stardom of athletes, movies and tv series about sport topics, use of social networks by athletes and sport societies and so on.

We are accepting monographic papers or cross-connected papers that touch several topics and themes.

Beyond sport

Direction, aesthetics and style (including graphics and similar) of particular sporting events (boxing, the final of the World Cup, Olympics, Super bowl etc.).

Selected essays will be published in the 2014 issue of Ol3Media, online in September. Proposals, along with a brief biography of the author (5/6 lines), must be received by 30 April 2014 while accepted papers must be completed and sent by 1 July 2014 for the necessary editing. Essays will be accepted either in English or in Italian. If English is not your mother tongue, please make sure the language is correct.

The length of the essays should be between 2,000 and 3,000 words. We welcome hyperlinks to other sites, videos, photos. Jpg images of the maximum size of 200 kb can be sent for inclusion in the essay. Any further information will be sent to the authors of the selected essays.
