Call for Papers: ICSSPE Bulletin on Sports Law

sports-lawWe hereby would like to draw your attention to the call for papers for the May Bulletin of the International Council of Sport Science and Physical Education. ICSSPE consists of approximately 300 member organisations and institutions of sport, sport science and physical education, creating an extensive global network. By fostering sport, exercise, education and health, ICSSPE contributes to the development of the human society. ICSSPE intends to investigate for a better scientific understanding human movement, educate for a better quality of life and improved health, advocate for the benefits related to an active lifestyle and the ethical values. For this purpose we are committed to disseminating expertise and facilitating information through conferences, meetings, seminars and regular publications incl. the Bulletin.

We accept papers for two sections:

1) This issue’s special feature section will cover the topic of Sports Law and will be edited by Lauri Tarasti (Member of the IOC Sport and Law Commission and author of the book _Legal Solutions in International Doping Cases_) and Kari Keskinen (Executive Director at Finnish Society of Sport Sciences). Sports law has come to be an important part of sport life. It is therefore crucial to improve our knowledge of the topic. ICSSPE would like to contribute to the spread of knowledge. We would like to invite you to publish your research on Sports Law in our Bulletin. The idea is to keep it as general as possible and allow space for articles on current issues and academic discourses. The articles should follow this structure:

  • Approximately 3000 words
  • An abstract in the beginning of the article, shortly laying out whatย will follow
  • APA formatting and referencing
  • Graphs, photos, etc. are always welcome but must be in high quality
  • Name, title and contact address at the end of the article; the nameย should also be included directly below the title.

2) We also invite you to contribute to the Current Issues section of the Bulletin. Please use this opportunity to inform our readers about the research you are currently conducting, about events your organization has recently held, etc. The articles should follow this structure:

  • Approximately 1500-2500 words
  • An abstract in the beginning of the article, shortly laying out whatย will follow
  • APA formatting and referencing
  • Graphs, photos, etc. are always welcome but must be in high quality
  • Name, title and contact address at the end of the article; the nameย should also be included directly below the title.
