A message from Nuria Puig, The Olympic Studies Centre:

We are pleased to share with you the call for abstracts for the international workshop “Costa Blanca Sports Science Week” to be held on from 25 to 28 April 2018 in Calpe (Alicante), Spain.

The main topic of the workshop is: Current issues in Sport Science. Linked to this topic, the organizers have reserved a preferred space for contributions on the Olympic Movement and Olympism:

    • Olympic legacy
    • Olympism and peace.
    • Mega events organization.
    • Woman and Olympism.
    • Development of mixed competitions.
    • The Olympic Youth Games as opportunity for development.
    • Hyperandrogenism and Olympic legislation.

The Congress is organized, among others, by the Olympic Studies Centres of the Spanish universities of: Alicante, Vigo and Santiago de Compostela. It has as well the support of the Royal Spanish Olympic Academy, within the celebrations of the 50th Anniversary of its foundation.

In addition, during the Costa Blanca Sport Science Week the congress of the International Network of Sport and Health Science will be held.

The deadline for submitting abstracts is the 1st April. The workshop will be developed entirely on-line. The selected papers will be published in the scientific publication Journal of Human Sport and Exercise (indexed in ESCI-WoS).
