Den aktuella doktorandtjänsten är kopplad till projektet “EASY” (Exploring Alternative movements my StYle)”, som genom en intervention undersöker hur alternativa rörelseaktiviteter kan bidra till ökad fysisk aktivitet och välbefinnande hos inaktiva barn. Projektet har en tydlig samhällsrelevans och genomförs i nära samverkan med skolor och fritidsaktörer. Forskningsplanen ska utformas i relation till det aktuella projektet och kommer att ligga till grund för bedömningen av din lämplighet för forskarstudier.

Margrethe Voll Storaas’ PhD study narrows down to the moving body and asks, ‘how may we understand the moving body ecologically in technologized environments?’ For this study, the cultural and body-contingent arena of sport is a well-suited context. To ensure a holistic treatment, she looks to the effects on both our physical exterior, physical interior, and environing linguistic milieu through three cases: humanly constructed sporting sites, the private international sport event of Enhanced Games, and a modern form of political language engineering that aims to enhance (‘ameliorate’) society.

With the aim of fostering closer cooperation among academics in the field of sport politics, the Centre for Research in Sport, Health and Civil Society at the University of Southern Denmark welcomes practitioners and academics with an interest in the Polity, Politics, and Policies of promoting physical movement to a POLIS workshop. This event will provide a platform to present ongoing research, explore new ideas for collaborative projects, and identify future research agendas.
