    The Sport and Leisure History Seminar is organised by the British Society of Sports History in association with the journal Sport in History. We have a varied programme of speakers from postgraduate researchers to leading specialists in the field of sport and leisure history from the UK and around the world. All welcome – these seminars are online via Zoom, and are free to attend, but advance registration is required.

    Interdisciplinary and Impactful Sport Research introduces “Knowledge Translation Field School”, four online workshops during November 2022

    Although knowledge translation, especially creative approaches to it, are an important skill set for researchers, this is not commonly taught as part of graduate curriculums. The Knowledge Translation Field School will provide participants with the opportunity to engage in an online knowledge translation training and mentorship initiative. The series of four, 2-hour workshop-style webinars are designed to enhance theoretical knowledge of and practical skills related to knowledge mobilization and translation.

    Call for Papers | Media, Sport, and Diversity, Online European Communication Research and Education Association (ECREA) Seminar | November 5–6, 2021. Call ends June 15. 2021

    The seminar wants to bring together scholars from all kinds of disciplines as well as practitioners that share the interest in the media-based communication of sport. Consequently, submissions may be rooted also in sports politics, sports economy, sports management, sports technology, sports sociology, and sports practice itself. In the seminar, we strive to include a diversity of theoretical and methodical approaches to sports communication and give voice to researchers from all parts of Europe.
