What happens when street sports are organized away from the street? Consequences of the greater organization for street sports as movement and culture phenomenon

In Denmark, street sports have traditionally been perceived as a contrast to the more formalized structures within association or club sports. However, the current development of the Danes’ exercise and sports habits towards more self-organized sports activities has resulted in a greater interest in street sports, which has developed beyond the "street" towards a more organized and formal framework. This development is examined in this peer-reviewed article by Magnus Kolind and Lars Domino Østergaard.
