The Journal of Applied Sport Psychology is a refereed journal designed to advance thought, theory, and research on applied aspects of sport and exercise psychology. Submissions such as position papers, reviews, theoretical developments specific to sport and/or exercise and applied research conducted in these settings are appropriate content for the JASP.

Qualitative Research in Sport, Exercise and Health is a landmark publication – it is the first international journal solely dedicated to the advancement and dissemination of qualitative research in the sport, exercise, and health sciences. Open to all qualitative approaches, QRSEH aims to be eclectic in content. It will publish refereed articles covering the diverse landscape of qualitative research.

JSSAE provides a forum for discussion and analysis on the unique characteristics of sports and athletics participation in education. In a unique perspective, the Journal takes a multidisciplinary approach in examining the issues that face student athletes and sports programs throughout the United States.

The Journal of Sport & Exercise Psychology (JSEP) is designed to stimulate and communicate research theory in all areas of sport and exercise psychology. JSEP emphasizes original research reports that advance our understanding of human behavior as it relates to sport and exercise. 

Psychology of Sport and Exercise is the Official Journal of the European Federation of Sport Psychology (FEPSAC). Psychology of Sport and Exercise is an international forum for scholarly reports in the psychology of sport and exercise, broadly defined. The journal is open to the use of diverse methodological approaches.

Pam Sailors finds a useful metaphor in the Swiss army knife when reviewing Ethics and Governance in Sport: The future of sport imagined, edited by Yves Vanden Auweele, Elaine Cook & Jim Parry (Routledge) – both are brilliantly designed, with many small and useful implements/chapters, but one requires sturdier stuff in order to construct big houses or conceive and conduct in-depth studies of sports.

Andreas Stenling har read the Routledge International Handbook of Sport Psychology, edited by Robert J. Schinke, Kerry R. McGannon and Brett Smith (Routledge). He finds this addition to the pile of sport psychology handbooks already adorning his office desk a welcome supplement, both for its attention to emerging topics in the field and for some exciting prognostications of future developments.

Boken ger ett nordamerikanskt perspektiv på idrott och idrottsutövande.

Om en av de mörkaste av idrottens baksidor handlar Melanie Langs och Mike Hartills antologi Safeguarding, Child Protection and Abuse in Sport: International perspectives in research, policy and practice (Routledge). Lars H. Gustafsson tycker att detta är en central fråga för idrotten, och att boken erbjuder uppfriskande läsning om ett svårt och komplext område.
