Leonard (University of Illinois Press), delves into professional boxing’s capacity for brilliance, contradiction, resistance, and complicity. Our reviewers Daniele Canini and Anne Tjønndal found several compelling individual contributions, but given the academic provenance would have expected a stronger emphasis on analytical rather than descriptive writing.
