Managing Sport and Leisure is a refereed journal that publishes high quality research articles to inform and stimulate discussions relevant to sport and leisure management globally. The journal is committed to publishing research that advances understanding of the practice of sport and leisure management, and to provide a high level forum for communication between academics and practitioners of sport and leisure.
For her edited volume Contemporary Issues in Sport Management: A Critical Introduction (Sage Publications), Terri Byers have engaged a large number of contributing scholars of sport management, probing central issues in the field. Søren Bennie is our reviewer, and while pointing to a few weak points, his balanced assessment is that it’s a valuable and useful contribution to this research field.
In his knowledgeable review of Handbook of Research on Sport and Business, an anthology from Edward Elgar edited by Sten Söderman and Harald Dolles, Hans Lundberg cleverly uncovers and balances its weak points as well as its strengths.
