The International Journal of the History of Sport is the world’s leading sport history academic periodical with fully-refereed global coverage of the subject. Professor Kristian Gerner sees this as a fine example of history writing that takes moral issues seriously.
To Anne Tjønndal, woman and boxer, Global Perspectives on Women in Combat Sports: Women Warriors around the World, edited by Alex Channon & Christopher R. Matthews (Palgrave Macmillan), was a satisfying read – a valuable contribution to the field of gender and sports.
