Kutte Jönsson är doktor i praktisk filosofi. Han disputerade i februari 2004 vid Lunds universitet på en avhandling om surrogatmödraskap. Sedan ett drygt decennium är han verksam vid Malmö högskola som docent och universitetslektor i idrottsvetenskap.
