This special issue will focus on papers that use a variety of empirical methods to investigate decision making and behavioral economics in sports competitions. The special issue encourages submissions focusing on key research questions such as, for instance, the role of different psychological motives in performance (such as goal setting, risk-taking, momentum, and pressure).
