Our department seeks an ambitious researcher who independently and in collaboration with others can instigate, carry out and report high-quality research that can be published in recognised research channels. We welcome applicants with experience from social and human sciences. The successful candidate is expected to both conduct empirical studies and contribute to theoretical development related to physical education and physical education teacher education.

The positions are not a part of a specific project, but are connected to the research group’s strategic areas of focus in social science: sports psychology, sports sociology, sport pedagogy and physical education, physical activity level in the population, and the importance of gender in physical education, sport, and physical activity. Excellent skills in methods is a prerequisite, as are good communications skills in English, both written and oral.

The Department of coaching and psychology has a vacant three-year postdoc fellowship in the field of sport coaching and learning in team ball sports. The predefined postdoc project aims to establish a cohort of players within a Scandinavian team ball sports that will be followed throughout adolescence and senior years to identify and compare different sport participation outcomes.
Postdoktor i idrottsvetenskap till studier av fysiologiska effekter av träning och stillasittande, till Gymnastik- och idrottshögskolan (GIH)
I anställningen ingår arbete i flera pågående forskningsstudier av akuta fysiologiska effekter av träning och långvarigt stillasittande samt epidemiologiska studier av effekter av fysiskt aktivitetsmönster samt dess bestämningsfaktorer. Det finns goda möjligheter att självständigt utveckla analysformer och genomföra egna studier.
