    Som postdoc kommer du att bedriva historisk forskning i ett projekt inriktat på idrott och friluftsliv i ett brett samhällsperspektiv med fokus på miljö och hållbarhet. Den specifika forskningsuppgiften formas i dialog med en forskningsgrupp, som består huvudsakligen av historiker, samt samverkanspartners inom forskningsporgrammet Mistra Sport & Outdoors, ett tvärvetenskapligt forskningsprogram finansierat av Stiftelsen för miljöstrategisk forskning, Mistra.

    New international Nordic master in friluftsliv (outdoor) studies

    For the first time, four Nordic institutions for higher education have developed a common Nordic Master in Friluftsliv (Outdoor studies). The studies are full-time for a two-year period. The program provides knowledge about health perspectives related to outdoor life, green urban environments and a strengthened ability to understand and experience nature. The program is in English and starts in the fall of 2020.

    Instituttleder vil ha en nøkkelrolle i NIHs videre utvikling. Dette innebærer ansvar for utvikling av instituttets forskningsvirksomhet, prosjektportefølje og studieprogrammer, kompetanse- og medarbeiderutvikling og forvaltning av instituttets ressurser. Et mål for instituttet er å styrke samarbeidet og samspillet mellom fagmiljøer samt å videreutvikle den sterke eksternfinansieringen av forskning.

    Med mål om å styrke sekjonens flervitenskapelige tilnærming til forskningsbasert kunnskap, søker vi etter en stipendiat med gode forutsetninger for å forske på tematikk knyttet til unge menneskers forhold til natur og bynært friluftsliv. Stipendiatstillingen lyses ut som et predefinert prosjekt – «Unge menneskers forhold til natur og  bynært friluftsliv». Stipendiaten vil, sammen med sine to veiledere, utvikle et prosjekt som skal bidra til økt forståelse for hvordan norsk ungdom forholder seg til nærområder.

    Call for Papers | “Being Outdoors: Challenging and celebrating diverse outdoor leisure embodiments and experiences” | Special Issue of Annals of Leisure Research. Call ends September 30, 2019

    This special issue invites articles that explore how outdoor experiences have been and are shaped in particular ways and to what effects. Moreover, the issue takes particular interest in how dominant discourses can be challenged and reshaped in order to make outdoor experiences available and accessible to, and enjoyed by, diverse people and in diverse ways.
