  • Treatment of tendon injuries. The aim is to examine the effects of the most common treatment strategies, such as resistance training and corticosteroid injections, on the clinical outcome and tissue adaptation in response to the interventions.
  • Tendon structure. Tendon significantly influence the behavior of the entire muscle-tendon complex. The focus of this line of research is to add to the limited body of knowledge of the structure and function of the human tendon as it relates to region specific difference in mechanical properties of tendon, in vivo and in vitro.
  • Tendon-muscle interaction.  This focuses on the interaction between muscle and tendon from a mechanical and metabolic perspective.
  • Tendon nanoscale structure. This research focuses on molecular mechanism of force transmission.
