We invite research projects among a broad spectrum of topics. Employment of traditional ethnographic and qualitative research projects provides the common thread for conference papers.

Proposals will be peer-reviewed among three strands: Results of qualitative and ethnographic research studies, qualitative research methods, and pedagogical issues in qualitative research.

Formats include lecture presentations and interactive poster sessions. The lecture presentations will be in 20-minute segments, with the poster presentations allowing for more extended dialogue and engagement with conference participants.

Submit a proposal that includes a title, an abstract of not more than 150 words, and a summary that does not exceed more than 600 words. If the proposal is accepted for presentation, then the title and abstract will be included in the conference program.

Location

EQRC is sponsored this year by the University of Nevada at Las Vegas (UNLV) College of Education, affording a relaxing atmosphere and chance [for some] to escape the cold winter weather for a few days. The conference will be held at The Flamingo Hotel which is located in the center of the Vegas strip, directly across the street from Caesar’s Palace. We ask that all conference attenders stay at the hotel, as we have secured a very low rate of $49 per night (plus tax). The Flamingo Hotel is in walking distance of the major Las Vegas attractions.

The EQRC conference has a long tradition of reputable quality, including previous hosting institutions being University of Massachusetts, Columbia University, Duquesne University, SUNY at Albany, and Cedarville University.

Presenters of both lecture and poster session presentations may submit their written papers for journal publication consideration in the printed, peer-reviewed Journal of Ethnographic & Qualitative Research.
