    Call for Papers | 15th Annual International Conference of Czech Philosophy of Sport | Charles University, Prague, October 15–16, 2026. Call ends August 10, 2026

    The 15th Annual International Conference of Czech Philosophy of Sport will take place at the Faculty of Physical Education and Sport (FTVS), Charles University, Prague. We plan as usual to organise an in-person meeting, with no online presentations this year. The conference will be in English. We cordially invite you to participate in this event.

    Guidelines for Abstract Submission

        • Send abstract (200-250 words) as soon as possible – final submission date Monday 10th August 2026.
        • Accepted abstracts will receive notification within 2 weeks
        • Required format is MS Word Times New Roman 12pt, single spacing, with name, institution, abstract, indicative bibliography; all to fit on one side of A4.
        • Abstracts to be submitted to s.j.parry@leeds.ac.uk with filename <ABSTRACT – surname – title>
        • The Book of Abstracts will be emailed to participants in advance.

    Abstracts should be in English and must involve philosophical treatment of a topic related to sport.

    We welcome advance notice of papers (or drafts of work-in-progress) for distribution to attendees.

    We prioritise discussion

    Presentations (summary) are for 20-25 minutes ONLY + 35-40 mins for discussion.

    Student presentations are for 15 min + 15 mins discussion.

    Please respect the needs of those whose first language is not English (i.e. avoid fast-paced delivery; provide ppt or handout, or a paper in advance, etc)
