The Journal of Sport for Development (JSFD) is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal. JSFD’s mission is to advance, examine, and disseminate evidence and best practices for programs and interventions that use sport to promote development, health, and/or peace. JSFD is currently seeking submissions for Volume 9, publishing in 2021. Manuscript submission is a rolling process.

This special issue is inspired by recent developments within community sport which has seen a continual redefinition of the roles and responsibilities of community sport organisations. This special issue seeks to generate interest in, and collating best practice examples concerning the management of change and measurement of impact within community sport and leisure organisations.

The UKSDN is passionate about encouraging practice informed research and research informed practice. We are inviting submissions for papers and posters to be presented at the UKSDN 2018 conference. Presentations will last for a maximum of 10 minutes and will form part of a convened discussion to stimulate critical, forward-thinking conversations.

This M.A. program is designed primarily for graduates of sports, social sciences and humanities who have a strong interest in the political, cultural, economic and social aspects of sport. Aiming at a comprehensive understanding of structures, actors and conflicts in sport and physical activity, it provides an international focus on sport, including transnational and comparative dimensions.

This conference comes at an important time for sport development in the UK; following a major sport policy shift by government and at a time when key stakeholders are considering their responses to new priorities. We anticipate a large number of delegates from both academic and practitioner focused backgrounds with senior figures participating as keynote speakers and presenters.
