He was a world leading human physiologist. His scientific contributions in the field of exercise physiology have had a major impact in the field of public health, which he remained devoted to as a physician.\u00a0Bengt had a tremendous curiosity about diverse scientific areas, and an enormous capacity for work; he published more than 500 works,\u00a0mentored many students from around the world and also served a term as Dean of the Faculty of Science while at the University of Copenhagen.<\/p>\n<p>As a tribute to Bengt Saltin, ECSS, in cooperation\u00a0with Heleneholms IF wants to welcome all congress delegates to join in on a run together. The ECSS Bengt Saltin Run 2015 will take place in Pildammsparken, Malm\u00f6, on June 26th at 7:00 am. Together we run two laps\u00a0around the park, 5.4 km. Only the first 250 registered entries will be accepted. You register by logging in to your account at the ECSS website, where you\u2019ll find a link to the registration link. Of course the registration is free of charge.<\/p>\n<p>Before the run you need to collect your number bib. The number bibs will available on two occasions, by showing your badge:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong> June 25<\/strong><strong>th<\/strong> between <strong>16:<\/strong><strong>00<\/strong><strong>-18:<\/strong><strong>00<\/strong>\u00a0in the congress area, Malm\u00f6 Live.<\/li>\n<li><strong> June 26th<\/strong> between <strong>06:<\/strong><strong>00<\/strong>&#8211;<strong>07:<\/strong><strong>00<\/strong> at the competition area, Pildammsparken.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>At the start\u00a0there will be a tent, supervised by volunteers, where you can leave your personal items during the run, and at the finish water and energy drinks will be provided. Your time will be recorded manually and will be presented at earliest convenience at the end of the run.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Will you bring\u00a0your family along\u00a0to Malm\u00f6?
