Malm\u00f6 Guerrilla Runners<\/em> have been running on the streets of Malm\u00f6 since December 2012. It all started when M\u00e5ns Renntun and Dan Stenqvist ran 10 km along the Ribersborg beach as fast as they could. They thought that running should be fun and\u00a0available<\/span>\u00a0for everyone without too much hassle. Together with Moa Bj\u00f6rnsson they founded\u00a0Malm\u00f6 Guerilla Runners, a network in Malm\u00f6 for those who love to run. Today the network engage almost 1,300 people and the members of the group are between 20 and 70 years old. A typical running session contains intervals, long distances or just a run for social reasons.<\/p>\n

Malm\u00f6 Guerrilla Runners<\/p><\/div>\n

The Runners are\u00a0connecting through a Facebook group<\/a> and anyone is allowed to start a run. Together, sometimes two persons, sometimes 40, they runs varying distances and tempos together in Malm\u00f6. The group meets spontaneously and run when they want and where they want, without having to create a formal race. Once every month they try to bring as many members as possible together to run 10 km along Ribersborg beach. Everyone is always welcome to participate and the group spirit is very encouraging and inspiring. Their motto is to keep running simple, and being involved costs nothing and you run on your own terms.<\/p>\n

Some of the members of Malm\u00f6 Guerrilla Runners are very active while other\u00a0members\u2019 partake\u00a0less frequently. When there is a formal competition close by, you can almost be sure that someone in the group is going to participate and they will try to help each other as much as possible.<\/p>\n
